IN MEMORIAM: COR WIJBENGA
Met groot verdriet en diepe verslagenheid delen wij mee dat onze zeer gewaardeerde collega, Cor Wijbenga, op 62-jarige leeftijd is overleden. Cor was meer dan vier decennia lang een drijvende kracht binnen ons bedrijf, en zijn plotselinge heengaan laat een onuitwisbare leegte achter bij zowel zijn familie als zijn collega’s en allen die het voorrecht hadden met hem samen te werken.

In an emotional and historic week for FIB Technologies, the company bid farewell to three of its most esteemed and longest-serving employees: Ronnie Lorist, Hans van der Sluis, and Klaas Boomsma. Their retirement marks the end of an era, totaling nearly 130 years of combined experience and dedication to the firm, a milestone that FIB Technologies believes could be recognized by the “Guinness World Records” for extraordinary collective service.

In a significant stride towards sustainable and renewable chemistry, FIB Technologies is proud to announce its pivotal role in the collaboration with Avantium, a leader in the field of renewable chemistry based in Amsterdam. This partnership has led to the creation of the world’s first commercial-scale facility for producing FDCA (furandicarboxylic acid), a key ingredient in the revolutionary plant-based and recyclable plastic, PEF (polyethylene furanoate).
